Build better habits, achieve your goals.

Designed by behavioral scientists, this 13-week guided journal taps into your underlying human drives, biases, habits, and behaviors to help you reach your goals and achieve your dreams.

Utilizing psychological principles including priming, goal-activation, commitment devices, habit formation, and gratitude, Brain/Shift provides you with tools to break out of the status quo and jump in the driver's seat toward your future success. Dive in and you will harness the power of behavioral science to improve your life in just 5-minutes a day.

Each week you will explore a new behavioral insight and learn how to leverage it to drive greater happiness, productivity, and goal achievement. Unlike most journals, each day and each week is different - they have been curated to help you identify and then achieve your most important goals through scientific principles.

You will:

UNLOCK THE POWER OF GOALS: research shows that goals are powerful motivators that drive increased persistence and improved performance. By identifying your "keystone goals" (those big goals that drive your success), you tap into the energy and focus that goals provide.
LEVERAGE BEHAVIORAL SCIENCE INSIGHTS TO DRIVE SUCCESS: each week starts with a behavioral insight that helps you better understand your own behavior. We tie these insights into daily actions so that you can practice leveraging these into your daily life.

UNLEASH THE POWER OF DAILY PRIMING EXERCISES: at the top of each page, we have you write down how you want to show up each day. This simple action primes our subconscious, which in turn makes it more likely that we will behave in that manner. By setting our expectations for the day, we make that outcome more likely.

MAXIMIZE IMPACT THROUGH SETTING DAILY ACTIONS: Each day you are guided through four different questions that help you achieve your goals as well as dive deeper into what motivates your actions and makes you happy. These questions are structured throughout the week to build off of each other as well as leverage the weekly behavioral insight.

REFILL YOUR HAPPINESS THROUGH A DAILY GRATITUDE PRACTICE: research shows that having a gratitude practice is a powerful tool in living a more fulfilling and happy life by rewiring our brain to be more focused on the positive aspects of our lives. However, most gratitude practices end-up being shallow and don't maximize the power of this psychological process. Our daily gratitude prompts are scientifically designed to help make sure that you explore a different aspect of gratitude each day and leverage this aspect to the fullest.

TAKE TIME TO REFLECT: we all need a break sometimes and we all need a moment to let lose. In addition to the daily and weekly exercises, each day and each week also has some traditional journaling space to clear your head, write down your ideas and inspirations, or jsut doodle.

  • "I've had journals before and benefitted from the process, but Brain/Shift made a HUGE difference. It is well organized, and the "nudges" were easy to understand and implement. In one aspect of my life, I was really stuck and working through the 13-week journal I could feel and see the progress... Would I buy the journal again? I already have!"
